So, I go to play runescape, browser based mmorpg. Apple locks up. Have to force shut down three times in less than half an hour. Needless to say it pisses me off. Then I notice at one point that spotlight says it's indexing (whatever the hell that is). I then installed the latest versions of itunes, apple os X and something else on the system update. Anytime I click on anything now, finder, spotlight, anything in the dock, I get beachball of doom. Spotlight went from estimated waiting time (for index) of 3 minutes to over 3 hours. It obviously isn't doing jack diddly squat. I tried to get into preferences, but the mac locks up. Is there anything I can do short of throwing this waste of money at Steve Jobs feet? i would go with the HD 5770 .. Even though the HD 4850 has more bandwidth to its RAM (i guess you call it), it lacks in many other features that you might enjoy. The 5770 has smaller transistor size which makes the GPU more efficient, 5770 supports DX11 and 5770 has GDDR5 RAM instead of GDDR3 (which might help compensate for the lower bandwidth of 128bits). And I can tell you from personal experience, 5770 will run those games in max. I have played fallout and black ops in max (but on a slightly lower res than 1080P cause my monitor supports it) but I feel the 5770 will perform in a more favorable way than the 4850

People in today's society generally like things that give them quick satisfaction. That means music that has a catchy tune and songs that they like on the first listen. Also, it is known as "cool" to have sex and get drunk and party, and it is cool to listen to music about it. The bottom line is that songs that really do have meaning (but also sound good because that is important too) are the ones that last through the decades. Have atleast two partitions, each should have plenty of space on, atleast 30 GB i would say. Install XP on one first (if it's not already), then install Vista on the other. Well I'm 15 and yesterday I went to see Deicide and Belphegor play live in a venue in Camden. When Belphegor played I wasn't too excited because I hadn't heard of them that much and I didn't know any of there songs. But when Deicide came on I went up to the front and I shaked Jack Owen's,Ralph Santolla's and Steve Ashaim's hand. I also kept grabbing Glen Benton's arm and he broke a bass string so he got that changed and he did his vocals without his bass for a while. The show was chaotic and all hell was breaking loose. People were crawling on the stage and the security guards was chucking them back into the crowd and the mosh pits were deadly. I got some people to push me up on the stage and I did a devil hand sign and the security pushed me back into the crowd. I also did the same thing again but someone else went up so I went up there too and we both got pushed back into the crowd. The third time I did it was a stage invasion and about 20 people got on stage and the security guards pushed us all back into the crowd again. The last time I did it was when Deicide played 'Sacrificial Suicide' and at the end Glen Benton shouted "take me" so I did a proper stage dive and it was successful. I'm surprised I didn't get kicked out because my behaviour was terrible lol. I just got very excited I suppose. Did I do well for my first metal gig?

Why does Handbrake say finished encoding right after it starts with no results?

I have been using Handbrake for years and it worked great (PC Vista) but after upgrading from the 9.1 version to the 9.5 it now goes through the process of selecting the source and pressing start it stops almost immediately and says finished encoding. I looked on many of the bulletin boards and followed the instructions that said to change compatibility to service pack 2 and run as administrator but I still have the same problem. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I tried to find a place to download and install 9.1 but no luck. Thanks -Steve

Iv been playing violin for a few months now and I hate it. My teacher is great its just that I don't like the violin. But dont worry, so long as your collegues are friendly and helpfull you'll pick it up in no time. It always takes time to adjust to a new job, regardless of it being your first or not. Dont fret and just take it one day at a time, at least theres plenty going on to keep you interested for a bit. The worst jobs are the ones you settle into too quickly and become bored.

How could I make music like Daft Punk?

sequencing software is definetly the route as sean m pointed out, but i use fruity loops studio (do a search download the demo) i think its easier to learn first before heading on to the garage band software (the learning curve is steep). the most noted effect in daft punk is the "vocoder" = An audio effect that produces "robotic" sounding results when processing vocal input. and fruity software comes with this effects unit. dont get frustrated in making music im asumming your new to making music it is the funniest thing ive ever done and i continue doing till this day.

I too have a 2 year old which we conceived within the first month of trying so i thought getting preg the 2nd time would be the same but it didnt quite work like that, 5 months went by with no luck, i was getting really down every month thinking there was something wrong with me, i even thought maybe we should just give up :-( i popped to my doctors just to see if he could give any advice i was told to take folic acid and keep trying, within a month of just enjoying having sex not thinking of it as "baby making" i had a positive result, i couldnt believe it so i done 4 tests just to be sure, im now 7 weeks preg, so just start taking folic acid and ENJOY! hope this helps x
