Lazy eye question (please help)?

i am 14 years old ....i have had a lazy eye since i was 1 year old when doctor determined that my i had "refractive amblyopia" this means i have a little bit of vision in my lazy eye but it is obscured by darkness ...the only thing the doctors told me i could have done was a muscle surgery to change my appearance if i wanted ......i was considering getting this surgery since i feel like i lose respect from some people because of my eyes ...i have to admit ...i look really silly in almost every picture .....it took me 40 - 50 tries before i took a facebook picture in which i didnt look cross - eyed.... i look daft and i lose respect from some people. so my question was ...what is this procedure called? and how is it performed? i would like to see a chart or a video of the procedure but all i could find was this .... a href="http://www.healthline.com/images/gale/big/gesu_01_img0085.jpg" rel="nofollow"http://www.healthline.com/images/gale/bi…/a
