Whats the correct way to take a pregnancy test?

I always found it far easier to pee in a clean paper cup and dip the stick, all my results were accurate. If you pee on it, use mid stream urine and, with a steady stream, hold the stick in the stream for the recommended time (see the instructions that come with the test, some say 5sec, some say 10sec), and then recap the test (not a requirement, but who wants a stick dripping with urine sitting on the bathroom sink?) and leave it lying flat. Read the results within 10 minutes, anything after 10 minutes isn't accurate. You always have hcg in your body, it has to be above a certain level to indicate pregnancy, but over time, even background levels of hcg in a non pregnant woman can react with the test line and give a fake positive.
