One of my rats has just died and i don't know whether to let the other one see him?

I guess if you want to. Your other rat can smell him. I am pretty sure the rat knows his buddy is not coming back :( sorry about your rat. I would be careful if you choose to do that because some rats will eat their dead friends. you can always get another rat though.
