Are all guys really that shallow?

i was on grindr the other day and i was talking to this guy, he seemed cool. then he asked me for a pic, mind you im no chris evans, but i am definitely no steve buscemi. lol. anyway yeah long story short he stopped talking to me. its happened about 3 times now. like really? i know looks do matter but really? then again i was thinking, it is grindr, maybe they just want to hook up. and im not looking for someone to hook up with, im looking for something deeper.
