HELP! does he 'obviously' want space?

Relationships are all about communication, and your relationship is sorely lacking that. You are definetely trying, but it is him that doesn't want to communicate with you. He probably thinks you are texting him too much and being too demanding, (His interpretation.) I would give him a lot of space and let him recontact you if he still wants to be in a relationship. If he can't learn better communication style, then maybe it would be better to find a boyfriend who can. Relationships are a lot happier when two people can text and talk and enjoy each other.
